TAKE ME OUT FEET FIRST is a documentary series that will begin streaming on Amazon April 2024. The pilot episode follows director, Serene Meshel - Dillman’s mother as she chooses medical aid in dying under the California End of Life Option Act. The first season’s remaining 5 episodes include terminally ill people in various states where medical aid in dying is or is not yet legal as they share their advocacy for the end-of-life choice to avoid pain and suffering and be surrounded by loved ones. TAKE ME OUT FEET FIRST intends to show that medical aid in dying is a humane right that everyone should have the choice to make. The stories show that there is relief, hope, autonomy and peace that comes with the ability to make this decision.
